Exciting Announcement!!

I am please to announce that after studying tirelessly and spending many hours practicing with one on one, hands-on training, I am officially a Certified Feline Master Groomer, (CFMG)! 

Why choose a CFMG?

In order to become a CFMG, 4 written and 5 practical examinations, administered by the National Cat Groomers Institute of America (NCGIA), must be passed. I earned my title upon completing all the requirement set by the NCGIA. It was important to me to have the necessary training and experience in order to produce high quality grooms. The quality of cat grooms that most people are familiar with was not something that I was willing to offer. It is my quest to educate folks about the benefits of cat grooming and dispel the myths that, “you can’t bathe a cat because they hate water” or “cats don’t need grooming because they groom themselves.” Certification made it possible for me to become an expert on cat grooming and handling as well as familiarity with common health concerns. The grooming industry is unregulated, meaning anyone can call themselves a groomer, however only an elite few can say they are a CFMG!

I am very excited to have my certification and have gained more knowledge that I thought possible on cat grooming and about cats themselves. I will take all that I have learned and apply it to all of my cat grooms. I will provide education to all of my cat owners and continue to make a difference one cat at a time! The Dapper Cat is located in New Franklin, Ohio and servicing Northeast Ohio within a 25 mile radius.
